Apple TV won't connect due to 802.1x auth

I'm living in a dorm that only allows you connect to the internet through a 802.1x authentication. So I've got my Apple TV connected straight to my computer through a patch cable but I can't figure out how to get internet to it to allow me to authorize my iTunes songs. Is there a way I can authenticate on my computer and share the connection with ATV??

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5)

Have you got internet sharing enabled.

Yeah, I went and enabled that but its still not working... Do you know the exact settings that I would need to make it work for my ATV? And does it issue a new IP for the ATV when it tries to connect? Because then it wouldn't authenticate on my network...

To be honest I wouldn't know, without enabling internet sharing myself I can't see all the options available to me.
