Logic 8 won't open even with no audio interface drivers present (i.e just using the built in audio settings )
neither will LIVE, GARAGE BAND. Although Melodyne, Soundtrack Pro and Garritan will.....so where do I start to find out what the issue is?
If Disk Utility doesn't work either my guess is you're having a bad upgrade day. Time to start from scratch and do a clean install if you didn't do that the first time.
I'm all backed up and have a working system on another drive. Should be getting Leopard anytime now - just waiting for the doorbell to ring...
I'll let you know how things are on my end later tonight.
Do you have the latest drivers from MOTU? They say there's a leopard update soon, but their current ones have worked fine for me.
Assuming it's not a bad OS install, it's probably a bad driver or plugin. If you've pulled drivers and it still doesn't work, try removing third party plugs and see if that makes a difference.
I'm not surprised PT doesn't work, I'm guessing they won't be compatible for months.
Hopefully you checked both MOTU's and Digi's web site for status updates on Leopard. MOTU has already posted a note on their page regarding drivers (although some drivers reportedly work).
I've upgraded the drive before posting the discussion.. quick time work fine with both motu and digidesign, miroslav philarmonik works as well.. logic, garage band give problems.. I've noticed a problem with the midi frameworks in system library, I've replaced that file but still nothing
