What are my options for updating iPhoto if I have an iBook G3, OS X 10.4.1?

I just bought an iPhone and would like to upload some pics to it, but it looks like I need to have iPhoto 4.0.3 or later in order to do this. When my hard drive crashed last year, I ended up with iPhoto 1.1.1 only. I looked into getting the iLife '08 package but I don't have the system requirements for it. I've been trying to find a download of iPhoto 4 but can't. Ack. Help?

Also, loading photos onto an iPod or iPhone does not require iPhoto -- if that were the case, then no Windows™ users would be able to get pictures onto their portable devices. Just because the later versions of iPhoto have the capability to move photos to an iPod doesn't mean you can't load photos as described in the iTunes Help topic, "Adding photos to iPod". Note that in step three, your target photos should be in a folder (which can be exported from even the oldest version of iPhoto).

If you're still having problems loading photos, post your question to a thread in the iTunes forum.
