iTunes won't add songs to my iPod

My computer recently had a virus that forced us to erase everything. I reinstalled iTunes, authorized teh computer, signed in as my account and added my purchased music to iTunes. I added a CD onto iTunes and it will not add to my iPod. Also, I was wondering how I could add songs back onto my iTunes from my iPod.

In order to add the songs from the iPod back to your computer you will need to use a third party program, because iTunes doesn't allow you to copy the files from the iPod to the computer. A third party program would be something like Anapod Copygear by Red Chair Software.
