Spaces and FULL screen games

Hey guys,

I just bought Leopard and was excited when I found out Spaces. However, I was really disappointed when I played Warcraft 3 in full screen (actual full screen) and Spaces would not work. I could not switch screens or anything until I moved the game to a window view. I guess this isn't anything new, as with Tiger I could not use the f buttons to view all windows. I don't know if any of you guys have a fix or workaround for this. Any help/input is appreciated.

Thanks!

I would like some help with this topic as well. It is very difficult to search for "spaces" help since it is a general word. I saw many demos of Leopard and spaces before the release of World of Warcraft in its own space and even receiving live updates when in birds eye view. I have been unable to find any support of this in the retail release. I have found many people saying games like Warcraft III and World of Warcraft in fullscreen not working with spaces.

Can someone please help, or confirm they advertised this then didn't include it, or will update soon to fix the issue enabling it?

Thank you.

I can only speak for World of Warcraft, but it's possible to play it in full screen, and still have Spaces.

In WoW, go to your Video settings, and choose to run the game in Windowed Mode. Underneath that checkbox is another, to run the game in Full Screen Mode (or something like that, if forget the exact wording). Check off both of those boxes, and WoW will appear to be running in full screen mode, but you can still use the Spaces keys to jump to another space. Works great for me.

Hey guys,

So what happens with WoW once you have both of those clicked? Does that mean it is as big as it can be with the Finder top bar and everything still there? I personally never have played WoW, but I'll check to see if there's the same option for Warcraft 3. For the Sims 2, all you have to do is press command + m to have the program run in windowed mode. That has worked for me in the Sims 2, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft. So I'm guessing that will work in any full screen app.
