When trying to eject a volume, my Finder crashes (or disappears)... if I reboot, the volumes are ejected. Any ideas...other than that, everything is GREAT and faster! Great job Apple team!
MacBook Pro 15,
Mac OS X (10.5),
2GB/updated reguarly
I just installed 10.5. I can't eject .dmg installers with Finder or by dragging to the Trash can. I've only been successful by going into Disk Utility and ejecting from there.
I'm having this problem on a regular basis due to having a few external hard disks, I hope Apple fixes this bug asap. I've already lost files as they have been corrupted.
For me this doesn't only take Finder offline, any app I'm using follows suit and crashes too.
I have the same but it happens only when I eject the first or second time. I'll eject a USB/firewire/HD and the finder disappears. I'll re-launch and it might eject fine for the rest of day. Only seems to happen when I first boot. For me, it doesn't matter - HD/USB or firewire drives will do the same.
