Hi. I have just bought new Apple keyboard and Leopard. I'm not sure which fault is it, but after connecting the keyboard to different usb ports, it acts strange. Once in a while it stops and none of the keys work. Mighty Mouse freezes too, since it's connected to the keyboard. Please help..! This situation is frustrating.. I had this problem before in Tiger, but after changing usb port everything was fine...
I have just came back from apple store with another apple keyboard but sadly it won't work either!! I have plugged the keyboard to MacBook Pro and it works. So this must be a PowerMac G5 issue... but how? My old keyboard is working just fine! Could you please tell me if it's something I can change somehow or is it a Leopard G5 bug and I have to wait weeks for an update? Are there any other possibilities?
Do you have another Mac kicking around? I snagged the keyboard preferences from my iBook (Tiger). If all else fails, let me know and I'll make you a link so you can have mine. I'm inclined to believe that would be legit file sharing.
Double click on your main hard drive -> System -> Library -> keyboard Layouts
You don't have to copy everything unless you really want to. The files aren't very big. I think the Unicode.bundle is the ticket, but I'm not 100% certain.
