Screen Sharing not working

Hi.

My friend and I who each have a new iMac with Leopard, are trying to share screens via iChat, but it doesn't work. We both checked Screen Sharing under Sharing in System Preference's, but nothing happens. Sometimes it doesn't connect, or sometimes it says it connects for me at least (when sharing my screen), but only audio works and he says he doesn't see my screen.

Any suggestions?

I used to be able to move files (Iogging in via network) between my new macbook and my 2 year old intel iMac up to 10.4.10. Now I have tried screen sharing, logging in (all via the airport on my iMac I should add). None of them now work. I am not doing in iChat but still the screen sharing feature button shows up but no connection. I have screen sharing set as per apples instructions in help file but still no connection. It looks to me that this screen sharing/sharing between computers is not working right, something between Tiger (10.4.10) and Leopard is now broken perhaps. This seems to be only problem I had. Upgrade was flawless and not fret with the problems (on either machine) that a number have seen.

Same issues here. Trying to connect MB to PB G4 over Airport Express network. No firewall, and both enabled Screen Sharing in System Preferences. The one screen says that screen sharing is happening, but on the other machine the message about connecting just spins and spins and a connection never happens. We are able to video and audio chat, but no screen sharing.

Hmm. I don't read that G4's are not supported in that article (cited above). The Macbook gets the message, "you are now sharing" and the PB then gets a window that says that it's trying to connect (this never goes away). At this stage we have an audio chat, but no sharing. I've done the Qtime 1.5MBps change, and looked at sys prefs for sharing. Anything else?

Acc. to the sys profiler, the PB G4 is "Hardware Accelerated." So I have no idea what's missing.
Here's a representation of the screen sharing I'm attempting:

PowerBook G4 (Google) <--- Airport Express (no firewall) ---> Macbook (Google)

I can't figure what would allow the MB to show that Screen Sharing is on, while on the Powerbook providing a window that it is connecting though it does so only in audio, never the MB's screen.

Oy.

After an hour if pulling out my hair, I finally had an idea of what might be causing the crash... I noticed I had my old iSight plugged in (the external firewire iSight) into my Apple Cinema Display. I unplugged it and iChat screen sharing worked PERFECTLY. You should also know that I don't have problems with my iSight, it works well on Video Chat and Audio Chat and even presentation mode but, it screwed up screen sharing.

In conclusion, if you're experiencing sudden connection losses with iChat screen sharing, check to see if you have an iSight plugged into your Mac and unplug it.

Does anyone have any idea why I can no longer screen share via iChat between a Macbook and a Macbook Pro (each on 10.5.1)? I connected once successfully, but now both computers have the screen sharing option grayed out in iChat (both via Bonjour on the same network, and via AIM). I can use screen sharing via the Finder, but only while both computers are on the same network. Both computers have Screen Sharing enabled in the Sharing preferences.
