My left ear headphone broke for no appearant reason les than a month after I got my Iphone. Is this covered under warantee, or do I have to buy a new set? The left ear started crackling like the driver came loose. It was minor at first, but progressed to fully broken. The right ear works just fine, but I can't listen to music with both ears anymore :{
This seems like a classic manufacturing flaw, as I did nothing to break them, nor did I turn the volume up too high (i've never even turned it up all the way). Thanks!

Iphone headphone breakage and warantee question
It should be covered by warranty if you are able to convince Apple that you did not mishandle or abuse the headphone.
Having watched this forum for many months I have not seen too many problems posted regarding quality of the headset with the most prevalent complaint being the earbuds do not fit in the ear well for a lot of people.
While I hate to ask this but have you checked the buds out for a buildup of ear wax. I have this problem all the time with the ear bud on my Jabra Bluetooth earpiece. I normally have to clear the bud every 3 weeks or so.
Otherwise take the headphones back to the store and tell them they do not work.
Apple will replace them, just bring the headset to an Apple store. Mine had a rattling sound from small piece of plastic that apparently broke free inside and my local Apple Store replaced them. They aren't the highest quality.
