DocBook in OS X?

Has anyone experience in running DocBook under OS X? The DocBook Wiki describes a Fink package, but the most recent reference I noted was from 2003 and several of the needed packages were described as unstable.

Is anyone running DocBook on OS X today?

Thanks,
Mark

Yes !

Docbook work fine under Mac OS X.

I use it to wrote books.
But I did not use a fink or MacPort install. I prefer download the official tarball form sourceforge (the lastest version is 1.73.2).
I use oXygen as editor and XEP as renderer. You can use other editor (emacs with some extension is great to) and FOP as renderer.

Feel free to ask me more question if you need.

Thanks, Jacques. I'll be getting back to you, I'm sure, because I've never downloaded a source code tarball, compiled it and run it. I hope you won't mind handholding me through the process. 🙂 Thanks for your help.

Yes, I'm writing a book that I want to publish in both HTML and PDF forms. It's going to be a image rich book about home and building construction. Not my content, someone else's content. I'm just the scribe. 😉
