Setting up Mail for a School Server

Hello all!

I have an account with my university and with Yahoo! Mail. I would like to use Mail to get the e-mails from both applications so that I don't have to use the web pages (and therefore save time). However, I've never used Mail. I've tried using the three different types of servers they give (POP, IMAP, Exchange) with the address from the web page (for school "mymail.xxxx.edu"), and it hasn't worked the multiple times I've tried.

Any suggestions are welcome!

From further scavenging this morning, I found my answer to getting the incoming mail. Of course, it was just add "@xxxx.edu" to my username whilst setting up the account. I have been quite sick lately, so it just didn't dawn on me.

Don't know that anyone will need it, but here's the thread that helped me:

Now, the issue is that I can't connect to an "outgoing" mail server. Yes, that's what that thread really is about, but I don't know how to change the SMTP ports.

Any ideas are appreciated!
