How to change an aperture serial number?

when I was upgrading to leopard aperture asked to have my serial number - I just grabbed one of the boxes from my closet, it was the wrong one and now both of my computers on the network cannot run aperture at the same time.

How can I change the serial number without loosing all of my photos and organization?

imac g5 / macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.5), aperture

You could try moving the file "/Library/Application Support/ProApps/Aperture System ID" to the Desktop (I wouldn't trash it just yet, in case this doesn't reset what you want). It appears to have some encoded binary information that may be the serial number info.

Otherwise, you'd probably have to remove your prefs, which would involve setting everything up again.
