error -3212

error -3212

every time i try to connect to the iTunes store, i get an error -3212 notification. does anyone know what that means or how i can fix it? thanks!!

You need to post your network diagnositcs:
Help>>Run diagnostics>>Netwrok Diagnostics.

Copy and Paste the entire result into your next post.

Have you ever been able to connect to the store and did you make any changes just before the problem started?

Katie, having the same issue following download of iTunes 7.4 version to replace an older iTunes version. I didn't have this issue before the 7.4 download. Have you resolved error -3212?

Macafee security center is the culprit.
Open Macafee then: select;
Internet & Network > configure
Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
APPLY then OK

When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes

I'm having the same problem. Have taken the steps outlined in Macafee Security, disabled other firewalls, and still not able to connect. Argh. Anyone know what might be up?
