Katie, having the same issue following download of iTunes 7.4 version to replace an older iTunes version. I didn't have this issue before the 7.4 download. Have you resolved error -3212?
Macafee security center is the culprit.
Open Macafee then: select;
Internet & Network > configure
Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
APPLY then OK
When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes
I'm having the same problem. Have taken the steps outlined in Macafee Security, disabled other firewalls, and still not able to connect. Argh. Anyone know what might be up?
