Mouse lag

I have this same issue (right now as a matter of fact).

Performance in general is terrible after this wake from sleep.

I'm getting a lag-esque behavior as well. The mouse works perfectly for about 1/2 the time, and the other 1/2 it's sitting still. It ends up jumping around, and drives me NUTS.

However, I'm getting it at random times through usage... Not just from sleep (well, never after sleep, since leopard is preventing my G5 from sleeping altogether...)

you're not alone - the trackpad on my MacBook suffers from a slight moment of hesistation/freezing/lagging (call it what you will) are various times and often seems to replicate after performing some function such as emptying the trash, quitting an application etc... other times it just acts as if it "timed-out" for a millisecond for no reason...

I can 100% confirm that my track pad too lags after performing random tasks.

I cannot wait for this issue to be resolved.

I'm having the same problem as well on my MBP when coming out of sleep. However, mine also seems to affect my keyboard/curser speed. I have to restart my MBP every time this occurs.

I too am having this problem. Also video performance and general system usage are slow. This occurs sporadically.

Same issue with my MBP as well. The cursor movement is 50% of the time very erratic after sleep and I need to reboot. Never had this issue on my 12". Noticed it especially after installing Leopard.

I notice that this issue does not seem to affect my wife's 12" PB (1.33ghz). I wonder if it is strictly a MBP issue or does it extend to other models and chipsets?

Yep, same issue on my 2.2 GHz MBP.

I have the same problem here. Can someone confirm that a clean installation of leopard (instead of upgrade) solves the problem?

it does not fix it... I have done a clean install of leopard and get this issue after waking from sleep

I've just turned off AirPort and the problem went away so far. I hope this is a permanent effect 😉

I'm also experiencing mouse lag on my new MBP with a clean install of Leopard. This is so annoying, I'm thinking of going back to Tiger.

My issue is slightly different.
Apple wireless mouse loses "clicking" function from time to time. I can still move the cursor but cannot select anything using the mouse.

The only way is to go to Setup Bluetooth Device again, switch off/on the mouse and do a new setup.

This gives several hours of normal operation until the problem comes back.

cant wait for an update for this crap....! standby is the most necessary factor on a laptop.
