? regarding purchased music/ringtones

I recently purchased an iPhone and today I tried to get a ringtone for the very first time and I'm a bit confused. This question is going to sound awfully stupid to alot of you, so please stick with this "newbie."

I purchased an album today and when I tried to convert one of the songs into a ringtone I'm told that I need to "buy" it. My question is...didn't I already "buy" the song when I bought the entire album? Shouldn't I be able to use the song as a ringtone already? Do I have to buy the song AGAIN for another .99 cents just so that I can use it as a ringtone on my iPhone? Or am I missing something and there's a way around this that I'm not aware of? Like I said...I'm new to the iPhone...so I'm sorry if this question is lame! Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help.

If the song in the album you purchased has a bell icon showing next to it in your library (no the itunes store), then it is available to make a ring tone out of.
Double click on the bell and an alert will come up and might have a buy button on it.
Put in your password and click buy. Then the ringtone maker will appear at the bottom of itunes.
Once you choose the section of the song you want for a ringtone, there is another buy button on the bottom right of the ringtone maker that will allow you to purchase the ringtone.

If you do not see the column for bell icons in your itunes library, then at the top of itunes click on view and choose view options. Then put a check in the box for ringtones and click ok.
A message should come up asking if you want itunes to see which purchased content in your itunes library is available for ringtones.

Hope this helps.
