MXF files out of sync

Question

MXF files out of sync

Okay. I've imported my MXF audio & video files... but they won't sync. It's like I can sync up "parts" of clips but then they fall out of sync again... strange.

The footage is DVC Pro50 HD @ 24 fps. Any quick syncing tips?

Intel-Mac, Mac OS X (10.4.1), 8-Core 10 gigs RAM

DVCPRO 50 or DVCPRO HD? Those are different formats.

So, when you import the clips via LOG AND TRANSFER, and then load them into the Browser, they are out of sync? I never heard of that happening.

No the log and transfer didn't work (even with pulldown box unchecked. Probably because I never stopped and started the camera (HVX200). Just kept popping cards in and out of camera and dumping them into P2 store. Just got alot of "incomplete" and spammed clips that FCP would not transfer.

So, I ingested all video and audio MXF files vis P2 CMS and THEN imported them into FCP. Put them into the time line and they won't sync up (i.e. In and Out points, markers... anything... I even tried multicam...ugh). Its like they (video & audio) run at variable speeds...and they are just barely off. I've moved back and forth back and forth... frame by frame. Trying to sync up by "flashes" "pops"... anything. Oh - DVCPRO HD
