Can't Install Properly - I Keep Getting An Error Message

Every time I log into iTunes after setting up on my new PC I get the following error message from the iTunes Set Up Assistant:

"iTunes was not installed properly. If you wish t import or burn CD's you need to reinstall iTunes"

I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes a number of times but still get the message.

please can someone help?
