May sound like a dumb question, but I despise Vista and don't have the money for a Mac computer... So, is it still possible to have the OS?

Dell Crapiron 531, Windows Vista

Google and you'll see someone had done it. But it's much nicer to just get a Mac IMO.

A Mac mini is an inexpensive option .

See what you can get on eBay for your Dell. Put a minimum reserve price on it. If someone bites at the right price buy a Mac and be happy

wellllll...... yes you can run tiger i know on a pc. many are doing so some with good success. but it will not run native " although have heard of some running native" and sad to say not same as on mac. but have heard of some having very good results. i forget the site to search but google it and should find some options. it is not a simple task to load not at all for novice user. but expect same as trying to run windows on mac may run but never as good as it would on a pc. i looked in to it a while back as i have a mac but am a pc tech and would love to have been able to load it on one of my high hp alienware machines. but abandoned the idea. for a pc if unhappy with vista although it is a improvment over xp and lacks many driver support and is a pig on memory and video and is still a bit buggy. consider linux a good choice finding drivers is a bit of a issue though. or a 866 mhz or better g4 quick silver or mirror drive door machine can be easly found on e bay for $200 to $300 give or take. and those are still very good fast machines. even better go for a dual processor. as for me i am going to keep away from leopard for a while way to much buggy feedback now and i remember when jaguar first came out and i put it on a nightmare of on going problems till panther came out.
