Why did Apple remove volume controls from Preview Pane and Quick Look?

Have you noticed that Apple removed Scrubbing and Volume controls from audio previews in the Preview Pane as well as failed to include a volume control for Quick Look? What's the point? The preview pane was wonderful and fast now it only has Play and Stop controls and Quick Look, while neat, doesn't allow you to adjust the volume of audio files when you preview them either.

So that's two strikes against Apple, when you include how troublesome Stacks are.
