2 MIDI controllers 2 Different Instruments

Hi my feeling is the answer to this should be easy I have searched hi and low with no answer. I have 2 Edirol Keyboard/MIDI controllers connected via USB. That I want to use to play/record 2 instruments at the same time
I believe I have set the condolers to transmit on MIDI channel 12 and 13 I have fired up LP8 and used the instruments template to get started quickly. I have set the Steinway to MIDI channel 13 and the Analog warm bass to 12. If I set these channels to record both keyboard play both instruments
Can some one get me started please?

dual 2ghz, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

This is a VFAQ on the LP7 forum, so you can search there if you want more info.

In short, for your purposes, you best bet is the "multiplayer record" feature. Page 382 in the LP8 manual describes how it works and how to set it up.

Thanks for the feed back I think the problem for me was I ddn’t know what to look for in the discussions or the various books I have . I have looked at page 382 gulp I will work through it later this evening Thanks again
