Streaming Quotes

Using Safari 3.0.3, when I go to Yahoo/Finance, I can't get the streaming quotes like I see on Internet Explorer on my PC at work. Any one know why? Do I need to change any preferences or download some plug-in?

No offense baroof, but this does not help. This is a work-around, not a fix.

I want to use one browser, and I want it to be Safari. I don't think it's too much to ask.

Does anyone know why streaming quotes in Yahoo! Finance won't work in Safari? Is there some setting I can change to see the streaming quotes? I cannot even see the option to turn them on/off.

Thanks!

Yahoo! have historically been rather lacking in their Mac support. The real-time quote page states:

<pre>SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

OPERATING SYSTEMS:
Windows 98/2000/ME/XP (Pro & Home)

JAVA ENABLED BROWSERS:
Internet Explorer 5.0 and above
Netscape Navigator 6.0 and above

LATEST JAVA INSTALLED:
The application will download the latest version for you.
We do not currently support Macintosh or Macintosh running Windows XP.</pre>

Send feedback to Yahoo! if you want Safari to be able to access it.

Sorry, but that's not much help my friend - the streaming quotes work fine in Firefox and Camino on the Mac, so it's obviously not directly related to Yahoo! system requirements.

I've been using Camino for a while now and am very happy with it as a replacement for Safari even though it doesn't have all the Safari features. That being said, I d/l Safari 3.1 hoping that this issue was resolved - alas, more disappointment from Apple's Safari folks. Such a wonderful browser that can't handle the simplest of Java tasks.
