freezing &Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

I just got my copy of the TW 08 game this morning and when I tried to play it I could only get to set up my golfer, but when I selected "Play" my iMac would go to the black screen and freeze. I installed the SW Update 1.2 (Tiger) tonight and now I can play all of the game on any course I like. The game works flawlessly on all phases so far. This was the only freeze that I have encountered since I got my iMac on Sept.14th. It works wonderfully so far. My wife is a elementary teacher and she really works the iMac hard and so far, it has been great!

My problem with Tiger Woods 08 is that it can't find the DVD after startup. The tech support folks at EA seem to think that I need to unplug all of my USB peripherals and try. Did that, except for keyboard and mouse (Logitech trackball) which I might need to play. No luck. I think that the problem is that EA is used to selling games to PC users who are used to these "little eccentricities." But Mac users like applications to work when we purchase them. Interestingly, the last version of TW Golf for the PC didn't work on my HP PC (parr for the course with a windows machine). Wonder if I can get a refund.

After unplugging the USB peripherals, did you restart the iMac?
