Having trouble with iphoto08 since leopard install?

Hi,
Only recently purchased my macbook (about a month or so ago) and today upgraded to leopard. I have had no issues with my mac up until this point. Now that leopard is installed, when I try to open iphoto it opens and I can see the "events" page but the colourful circle continues to spin until I force quit. I'm not sure how to fix this?
any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Sarah

start with the troubleshooting basics:

Ensure that you have the latest version of the OS (10.4.10) and Quicktime (7.2) and the app.

1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility

2. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.

3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and launch iPhoto there. See if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
