I created the movie in imovie 08 opened idvd and went into map view, I dropped the movie onto the top left hand corner box which is supposed to make it play on insert. I also selected loop from the advanced menu then burned the dvd.

The dvd wasnt even recognized on reinsertion in the computer. Can someone please tell me how to do this without refferring me off to pages or in 1 word answers I have no idea about? I am a complete newbie to this and I'm soory to say that I have not the faintest idea.

Thanks

To create a OneStep DVD:
Connect your DV camcorder to your computer and set the camera to VTR, VCR, or Play mode. Turn on your camcorder if it doesn't turn on automatically.
Open iDVD and click the OneStep DVD button. (If iDVD opens to a recent project, choose File > OneStep DVD.)
Insert a recordable DVD disc.
iDVD rewinds the tape in the video camera and captures the video.

To burn a OneStep DVD from a folder:
Choose File > "OneStep DVD from Movie."
Locate the movie you want to add in the dialog that opens, then click Import.
Insert a blank DVD disc into the optical drive.

This kind of disc is sometimes called "kiosk mode" and is a good way to create demos or other presentations that play automatically and require no user interaction.

That's what Kiosk Mode means exactly. I should have explained this earlier. Plays on insertion and won't stop playing until you tell it to stop with DVD Player remote or a set top DVD Player remote or command/button to stop on the front panel of most DVD Players. That's why it is a good way to create demos or other presentations that play automatically and require little / no user interaction.
