iPhone In Jersey, Channel Islands

Well living in Îles de la Manche, my knowledge is limited, but although England is getting the iPhone, I do not believe that will work for you, but France will also be selling a unlocked French version of the iPhone for a higher price shortly and you should be able to buy that one. If Orange offers service where you live you may be able to.

I thought that Jersey had O2 - I know that calls to and from Jersey use the UK phone standard, and pricing.

What is stopping you buying one in the UK (or from the Apple Store Website), and using it in Jersey?

If you have O2 in Jersey, shouldn't be a problem.

We dont have O2, so there is therefore no distributor for the iphone in Jersey.
I have emailed the apple shop in Jersey and they said that they think that things will probably change in a few months when they suspect the iPhone will no longer be locked down to a particular network. We shall have to wait and see I'm afraid.

i have spoken to a few people that i know and they believe that the iphone could be released wit jersey telecoms in just over a year from now however it could be two years.
As they cant agree on a price for apple to allow them to use the network.
