Numeric Key pad gives comma

I have the new 24" iMac and the wireless keyboard, but to also use the numeric keypad for data entry, I have both keyboards working. The keypad on the USB wired keyboard works fine except when I key in a decimal point "." Instead I get a comma. Doesn't matter the application I'm using either (Safari, MS Word, Excel). This is a little frustrating, but I wonder if this is somehow related to my keyboard being an international version, where in some EU countries the comma actually functions for what Americans would use as a decimal point.

Any ideas how to change or fix this? I have tried to un-pairing the wireless keyboard, and tried to only use the wired keyboard. I also have gone into the modify keys menu from the Keyboard and Mouse preferences pane to see if there is something to reset.. but nothing seems to work.

Not dead in the water, just swimming in commas.

Hello,

The Dutch Keyboard layout gives you a comma on the Numeric Keypad.

Go to  menu > System Preferences > International > Input Menu . Choose "+Show input menu in menu bar+".

You'll see a Flag appear in the top left of the screen. Now add another keyboard layout such as British. The British keyboard layout will give you a decimal point on the keypad.

When you are doing data entry you can make the quick change on the Input menu.

cheers
