Can anyone recommend a mains charger for the 3G Nano please? - UK based

My grandad needs one asap (before Friday ideally) as the one I ordered before from Ebay doesn't work.

I'd go with the official one, but £19 (plus the cost of a USB cable) seems excessive.

Just use the USB cable that came with the iPod.

No good at all I'm afraid, pretty much the only reason he purchased the iPod was for holidays, so he'll need to be able to charge it away from the PC.

I mean he will not need to also purchase an additional USB cable.
Just purchase a charger and use the cable he already has.

Makes sure that the charger will work with Nano 3G. I have had the same problems with charging away from the PC. My iRiver never had a problem with with either the car or mains USB charger I have but the Nano will not recognise the charger. I does work with the powered hub I have and this makes me wonder if somehow the nano needs to see some residual power source on pins 2/3 of the connection before it will charge.
I really don't understand why Apple have done this but it's a sorry introduction to their products for me, especially with regard to compatability.

The product at Scan looks very much like my own charger and as I have stated my charger does not charge the 3G Nano.

I had a quick Google and came up with this:
