Freeze with Spaces and iTunes

Running 4 spaces. One has an iTunes video podcast running. It continually freezes. But when I invoke spaces and see the map of my four spaces, the video starts running again in the miniature window. I click on it to go back to the space and the video freezes again. Back to spaces and it's running.
Clearly a problem with Spaces, which works flawlessly otherwise.
