CHUD Developer Tools

Hi there...

I am hoping to make the jump up to Leopard soon on my G5. I intend to do either an Archive and install or possibly just an Upgrade.

Anyway, I have the developer tools installed back from Panther (I'm on Tiger now) which I use to disable 'Nap' from the Processor preferences in order to eliminate digital 'chatter' when recording audio (an old problem with some G5's some may or may not be aware of). Anyway, I've been using this workaround since I've had it and its fine (though I'd rather not have to!). The point is though that this is essential to what I do, and is entirely conditional on my keeping the G5.

When I originally upgraded Panther this preference panel still remained, but I never upgraded the developer tools at all. So I'm wandering now if:

A/ The processor preference panel/Nap disable feature will still be there when I upgarde to Leopard (as it was with Tiger) and...
B/ If I need to upgrade it at all to stay in line with the new OS.

I hope someone is able to make sense of this as I know its not perhaps such a common question - I'd really appreciate any thoughts on it.

Thanks in advance, Sidx
