MacBook hookup to TV

I want to hook my MacBook up to my TV so I can use the remote etc. and just watch the shows instead of using my iPod to do it which I normally do.

I guess I need a mini dvi adapter. I just want to make sure I'm buying the right one. I have a Magnavox 37" Flat panel and the 1st generation MacBook

BlackBook, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 1GB Ram

What inputs do you have on the back? You can probably use a Mini-DVI to Video Adapter

For audi you will need a 3.5mm to RCA stereo cable like this. You can get one from lots of places. Example of 3.5mm to RCA Y cable

Okay thanks. I will order that one. I should have most inputs since my tv is <1 year old. Do I need these RCA cables even though I have them for my iPod? The cables I currently have I can plug it into my iPod and watch it on my TV.</div>

Your in luck the same cable works for both the iPod and the MacBook. I forgot to mention you will need a single RCA patch cord for the mini dvi adapter. If your TV uses s-Video you could use that also.
