Welcome screen loop.

help! i just software updated my macbook and restarted when the "welcome to mac os x" so i restarted again... nothing! i have tried alot of stuff but it just keeps sending me back. when i complete the setup, it just pulls me back to the same screen! ***? any coment will help!

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5)

As strange as it is I figured this also. I did it by booting safe, hitting back and signing in again. I am now up and running

hello

infinite loop at startup on my MacBook Pro for the last 2-3 days only, was ok on Leopard before that...

I work around it by mouse-clicking the "back" button and it eventually stops and asks me for my password for real.

I have the same problem. Judging by the amount of complaints the installation og 10.5 update is a nightmare far worse than anything Windows can match.
