No "This Computer" cluster in Compressor
Hi there
I've had this problem for a while and never really had time to look into it but after the recent MacBreak Studio highlighted some cool Compressor stuff I thought I'd throw it out to the smart people.
My Compressor is not displaying a "This Computer" cluster in the Submit dialog box. It WILL display network clusters and when I turn my machine into a Controller it recognises that, and works fine, but not the computer on it's own. When I set my QMaster preferences to 'Services Only' and disconnect from a network, the Cluster drop down is empty. Clicking OK brings up a:
"Unable to submit to a queue. Please restart your computer or verify your Compressor installation is correct."
message and goes no further.
I've tried to re-install Compressor (going through the delete every file protocol) and nothing has worked. It started some time ago after a particularly nasty Compressor crash. At the time I was using Final 5.14 and Compressor 2. Since then I've upgraded my system to Leopard, Final Cut 6.01 and Compressor 3. Still nowt.
Have see nothing similar to this on a forum or on the net at all. could just use it as a Network Controller but the fact that something is wrong bothers me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
