digi 001 and dual g4 1ghz

I'm trying to change my system over from a quicksilver 733mhz to a dual 1ghz machine. While running pro tools on the dual machine I keep getting a dae error -6045 anyone have any knowledge about this? I'm running pro tools 6.4 as I don't know if 6.9 will work with digi 001
thanx

Well, you would probably have more luck going on the Digidesign forum...

My experiences with DAE errors and Protools usually have to do with the installation. Did you install Protools LE 6.4 as a clean copy or did you copy it from another computer? Also, installing a clean copy of Protools off of the disk installs drivers for the Digi or Mbox to function...if you didn't go through the full installation process then your Digi won't work. You can't just plug it in...Protools LE requires that you have a Digidesign Protools Interface (Such as an Mbox or Digi) +in order to even run Protools+. If the Digi 001 isn't correctly installed, that would probably explain your error messages.

Also what OS are you running? And I am pretty sure 6.9 will work with the digi 001, since I know Protools 7 supports all Digi and Mbox interfaces. I've got protools 7 so I can't give you specific information just off the top of my head... If you have a copy of 6.9 then try installing it and see if it works. After the installation the Digi 001 and Protools should be fully operational.

After reading your post again, are you trying to copy all of your info off of your original HD on the 733 over to the dual 1 Ghz machine? If that's the case then that would explain the problem...you must install a clean version of Protools LE in order to install the drivers for the Digi 001. Without the Digi, protools won't run.

well what I did was take the hd running pro tools out of the 733 machine and installed it in the dual machine. I tried to run it directly without making a clean install once the hd was in the dual machine. I will try to run a clean install on another hd (in all there are 4 hds in the dual machine) and see how that works thanx I appreciate the reply.

yes it is being recognized.

Last night I thought the problem was an issue with both the monitor and the pci card for the 001 being remotely run basicly through a pci pipeline. Pro tools loads up and plays but gets the dae error -6045 after being opened for about 5 or 10 minutes. The dual machine's graphics card is run on a pci slot as well as the pci card for pro tools as well as an additional usb card with an additional firewire card.
