I would say you will not see the difference unless you use benchmark application to compare between those cas latency...

I have been playing with those CL on my several mac and PC, but I found out that the faster CL (and usually more pricier) really not giving me any significant performance boost, and just a waste of money and for slightly personal satisfaction (that I feel I tweaked my computer better than other).

If the price descrepancies is too big between those CL, then stick with the standard one that apple recommend for your macbook, but if it just couple bucks more, go ahead with the faster CL.

Be advise to check the compatibility statement and return policy before you decided to buy any.

Good Luck.

This is what you need to be looking for.

PC-5300 DDR2 667MHz SO-DIMM 200 Pin Memory Module

Here are three good sources. Be sure that whatever yo buy has a lifetime guarantee. I also recommend you save your old RAM in case you ever need it for troubleshooting. Put it in the static bag the new ram comes in and save it in a safe place.

OWC MacBook Ram and Hard drives

NewEgg.com Mac Memory

Crucial.com MacBook Ram

I like Crucial RAM and got a good deal on it from NewEgg.com
