Graphic cards with ADC or DVI connector.

I have a used (temporary replacement) B&W with an ATI Rage 128 that has only a VGA connector.. My down G4 has the ATI Rage card with the ADC connector, but, to my surpize, it doesn't fit in the PCI slot of the B&W. I'd like to geta 17“ Apple Cinema Display or other fine quallity LCD display, to use as a second monitor. So what to do.. Is there a dual display ADC or DVI card that will fit in this slot? BTW it's a Rev 1 G3 300MHz..

I've read the Radeon card will work. Is that so? Will that fit the PCI slot?

Hi Rob,

the only two PCI based Mac graphics cards I'm aware of are the Radeon 7000 Mac Edition and Radeon 9200 Mac Edition. I believe both have one DVI connector and one VGA connector. Unfortunately I don't think there is a single PCI based card that will support dual DVI displays.

Cards with the ADC connector are AGP based and will only work in PowerMac G4s more recent than the Sawtooth version, as the ealier versions lack the extra power connector that powers the diplay though the ADC connection.

I hope this helps.
