    I had the same problem yesterday. I got my iPod touch exchanged under warranty and had to register the new device upon syncing with iTunes. Every time I disconnected it and synched again, iTunes wanted me to register. Then I clicked "iTunes" -> "Preferences" (or is it "settings" in the English version) - well, you know hopefully what I mean), where you can find a "Synchronise" tab. I clicked on it and found that there was a backup of my previous iPod that i had exchanged as well as a backup of the new device (the backup feature is new in iTunes 7.5). I deleted the older one and tried again to disconnect and connect - and this time iTunes didn't ask me any more. So maybe you have a quick look if there are older backups or if you are using different iPods that all share the same name. Good luck!

    Having the exact same problem as others are noting - every time I open iTunes with the Touch connected, asks me to re-register.....

    My configuration is Windows Server 2003, iTunes 7.5, iTouch 1.1.2

    Please figure this out...

    I followed the advice of another poster on here and went to the online registration mentioned earlier. I then clicked the never register button the next time I connected to iTunes and have forgotten all about it till I got back on here

    i just bought an ipod touch and when i connected to itunes it asked me to register my ipod. i registered it on the apple site. now when i connect it to itunes its wont download my music. what should i do?

    I'm using Windows XP with iTunes and 16GB iTouch v1.1.2.

    my mom just got a shuffle for her birthday, same issue.
    apple's got a glitch within their database or maybe itunes.

    although, i experience no problems with my macbook, shuffle, and ipod 5g.

    Yeah I'm in the same boat. The screen cuts off part of the licensing page, and even when I do push the never register button, it still sends me to the licensing page!!!

    Ugh, I can't even edit the music I have on my iPod Touch because when I hit cancel it also disconnects it.

    Someone please help. Please?!?

    Alrite...just to add to the redundancy..yes i'm havin the same problem
    I also registered my touch through the apple support site..and the thing still comes up

    My sister got a nano..and she doesn't seem to be having the problem
    My friend got a touch..same problem

    Here is one thing that no one has brought up least that i have seen...and i looked through briefly...Every time it asks me to register..i do..and then it goes through the pages..and at the end it asks me if i want to download these free videos (Jack Jack attack and some other stuff)
    I click Ok, and No thanks..and it still ends up giving me an error...with itunes..let me see what the exact wording is though i doubt it will help
    well my computer is exploding on me..thats vista for yeh..but it says that there was an error and try back again if i remember correctly...
    anyone know anything?
    i really don't want to click never register

    Has anyone ever received an answer from apple on the registering, and re-registering issue?

    Like the previous posting, i went through the registration process and selected yes to download the free clips but received the following error

    'We could not complete your itunes store request. The requested resource was not found.
    There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.'

    I did send apple support a note but received very little help.

    Any ideas?

    After looking at a few other discussion threads - the answer this seems to be to load itunes, login, and once done connect your itouch. I tried this process and it works.

    For more specific details - someone posted the exact process in a new thread posted today Jan 3 - fixing the registration process

    I am also prompted to register my ipod touch every time I connect it to my PC. I get as far as selecting UK as my country, then on the second page, my country is listed as United States -and I can go no further.
    I did purchase my Ipod Touch in the US -could this be the cause of the problem -and if so, is there any way around it?

    Yes i used to have this problem...
    what u need to do is buy an itunes music card (or get one of the expired ones off the internet), click on music store, click on Redeem in the quick links...once uve done that you sign up for an apple id. then u have ure apple account. plug ure touch in and then do the process but this time u have the apple id so about 3 questions u have to answer and then ure set for life... hope that helps.

    p.s i dont noe where to get the fake expired ones
