Using my housemates comp with her itunes while my comp is broken?

I have an ipod nano and my computer is down right now. My housemate has a comp and is willing to let me use her itunes (which she uses for her ipod nano) to download some music that I put on there. Is it okay to hook my ipod up to her itunes and download music? Will this mess it up? When my computer is fixed or I get a new one, will I still be able to sync my ipod up to my itunes?
