Whoa... what just happened (I think battery related?)

So I noticed over the last couple of days that my battery indicator didn't really seem to be going down at all. At first I hoped it was just getting better battery life than usual for some reason but then decided it couldn't be THAT good. Then today I'm checking my mail and it just turns off out of nowhere. I turn it back on and get a 10% battery Remaining message, and it stays on for another ten seconds and turns off again. Was this just some kind of a glitch with the battery meter and it somehow didn't realize it had a low battery and then just got too low? One thing to note is that when I turned it back on the cities in the World Clock and Weather and such were reset, but my Music and such was all still there. Should I take it to an Apple store and ask about it or perhaps try a few more charge cycles and see if it does the same thing?

iMac C2D 2.0ghtz, iPhone, (Hopefully MBP soon), Mac OS X (10.4.10)
