Entourage Problems

Is anyone experiencing Entourage problems running Leopard? Mine locks up with a spinning beach ball sometimes when I click on an email. Then, slowly the rest of my computer freezes up, except I can still move the mouse. My database got corrupted also.

Ever since I bought and installed Leopard on my PowerBook G4, my Entourage keeps shutting down unexpectedly every time I open it up, then I chose relaunch until it works. But also other programs are also not working at all. This is very frustrating and also hurting my business. These are the other programs that are not working:
Quickbooks
Adobe Acrobat CS3
OmniGraffle
Stuffit
Remote Desktop
I have been a happy Apple Owner for the last ten years until now that I installed this Leopard OS. Please I need help to run these programs.

I'm having the same problem with Entourage suddenly quitting. It runs fine--sometimes for hours--and then just shuts down.

I've also had the beachball problem right after starting up Entourage. It goes away, but takes several minutes. This, too, is new behavior since I installed Leopard.

I have the original BlackBook, 2 gb memory and a 200 gb drive

Entourage was working great until I installed Leopard.

Now Entourage quits unexpectedly about every 30 minutes; or, if it is idle for about 20 minutes.

This issue is consistent with all three of my *24" iMacs*, and my *15" Powerbook Pro*. All have been upgraded to Leopard 10.5.1. All Microsoft updates are up-to-date.

Here is a thought... I copied my Entourage identity and copied it to the other Apples. I wonder if it is a *database issue*? I have compacted them. But, it does not seem to help.

I am having the same problem with Entourage suddenly shutting down. Some days it doesn't happen, other days it happens a couple of time or more. I purchased the iMac 2 weeks ago, installed Leopard with the disk provided, downloaded updates and then installed Office a few days later.

Would love to hear suggested solutions.

I might have been misleading in my last post. While 10.5.1 can be flaky, I am not having any problems with Office or Entourage. I've kept up with the Microsoft Office updates and it is running fine for me. Heck you memory usage while running Entourage. I've been told that Office is a memory hog and, perhaps, some of your problems may be related to page swapping (memory) issues.

Thanks! Memory is fine. This is a brand new computer and I have hardly anything loaded that would take up memory. Also have downloaded all the Word and Leopard updates. I am working with Microsoft support on this. I will see what happens and then report back. Strangely, I have several applications set to open when I start up the computer - Word, Entourage and iTunes. When I go to the login items box in accounts, despite trying to remove these items (4 times now) they remain and open each time I restart the computer. I don't know why that is happening, or why having those items open upon start up would cause Entourage to randomly shut down while in use. Microsoft also had me remove the Entourage plist folder, as well as place the Microsoft folder on the desktop. Stay tuned as the continuing saga unfolds...
