Desktop scrolls out of control

My desktop all of a sudden started scrolling around with my mouse. It won't stay still and it makes me dizzy. Any ideas how to reset so I can see my whole desktop and it doesn't move?

Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Greetings and welcome to the Apple boards.

Zoom is on.

Holding the control key while scrolling will allow you to zoom in or out.

Option-command-8 will also turn zoom on and off.
