get color info from pdf

Which syntax can get the used colors returned from a pdf file?

tell "adobe acrobat professional"
set Vcolor to used colors of document
get color information as tring
end tell
display dialog ("these colors are used:" & Vcolor"

color could be swatch but I'm not sure.

Rather than create an Applescript droplet why don't you create a droplet with Acrobat itself? You can create your own Preflight conditions and save those out as an application droplet. You can set this up to move successful files to one location & failed files to another it will even create reports if you like. I use this to check my files. You can use Applescript to open pdfs using the droplet if you wanted an unattended workflow. Although I don't think this is a very good solution.

I did try with an Acrobat droplet, but it takes ages before I get a report. And there is to mutch information.

This is where I came up with

tell application "Adobe Acrobat Professional"
set vnumber to number of XXXX as text
set vnames to name of XXXX as text
display dialog vnumber & return & vnames
end tell

XXX should be replace by the correct syntax.

tried these because I get these in my preflight doc from the acrobat doc.: separation, plates, color space, DeviceN, DeviceCMYK

Still no luck.

Have you opened Acrobat's dictionary? In here you will find the list of words that the Application Acrobat Pro understands. There are NO options for what you require available to Applescript not everything in the GUI is accessible to script (or at least not with this app) I would look again at what options you have in your droplets mine process pretty fast.
