Quicktime i/o error -36

ok so i tried adding this one video to iTunes. Well it doenst add. no error message. So i think its a problem with quicktime so i try to open it with quicktime. Voila guess what. I get an i/o -36 error. Now *** does that mean and how can i fix it. the file is an mp4 file that I can open with nero and other junk but cannot with quicktime.

hey, i have the exact same problem. i tried to convert a youtube video to ipod format using the "free youtube to ipod converter" from dvdvideosoft.com. All i get is a mp4 that will give me that error -36 when i try to open it with QT. also, when i try to import it to iTunes, absolutely nothing happens, although i am able to see the video perfectly using nero showtime. I

I am in a toshiba computer, using Windows Vista Home Premium. the systems is NTFS. anything else you need to know? please help me!! it has happened a lot of times

I'm getting the same error: Error -36: an I/O error occurred (.mp4). It's very frustrating. Movies that worked before now don't. I recreate them, sometimes the problem goes away and sometimes not. Quicktime on a different computer plays the same files fine. Other players read it fine. I've reinstalled QuickTime and iTune several times now (a painful process when you have a large library and apple tv to resync).
