Automator and Aperture in Leopard

What are your automator steps? I'm having problems with "choose albums" resulting in an AppleScript error every time. It's really putting a crimp in my workflow these days.

I've seen it. It happens with any Aperture Automator action in Leopard. I've reported it to Apple.

Ticket number? Nope. I have a contact on the Aperture team and I send him feedback directly.

They'll acknowledge if the problem/issue is repeatable but that's about it. They don't let you know, "hey, we solved this". Any resolution will come in the form of a software update and just checking to see if the issue was corrected and/or if the issue is listed in the fixes documentation that accompanies the update.

OS X 10.5
Aperture 1.5.6
Automator 2.0

I've seen this with the Aperture and Photoshop Automator Actions

I am experiencing the same issue. OS X 10.5.1, APerture 1.5.6 and Automator 2.0.

Very annoying...

I'm experiencing this on my Intel machine but on my PowerPC it actually does work. Maybe something to do with the processor? The silence from Apple on the issue for some of us is annoying. Aperture is the only program that I'd actually find a use for Automator functions.

Yep.. it's my first day with a Mac. Finally decided to take the Macbook Pro plunge to be my mobile photo solution... Just ran into this issue. VERY crushed... when you say you've reported this to Apple and Aperture teams.. what is the best rouute to do that. I'd like to help get this solved.

Please fix this leopard, I've sent you a bug report and still nothing! This really *****!

My workflow also quit working with Leopard. And I also sent feedback to Apple. I was using a workflow to export metadata to a text file. I can use the export metadata function of Aperture in a pinch, but I'd rather not have to fix up the individual files long term.

I was just looking into applescript as a workaround. I don't see a metadata export function supported at first glance. And of course with Applescript, there's never much in the way of documentation. I also don't know yet whether the Applescript will even work.

At least I'm not alone with this problem.
