Major discrepany between preview mode and final viewing of movies on dvd

Here is my problem: I have 2 copies of the same movie. It is a corporate video I made. The first version has French subtitles, the second one English subs. So In the main title screen I imported both movies as two separate elements and simply named them "English" and "Francais".

The dvd map is set to loop each movie once started for it's used for a kiosk.

When I play the preview, surely enough the "English" button plays -and loops- the English movie, and the "Francais" one well, plays the french version (and of course also loops). So everything looks good, I burn the project.

Bue THEN: When I put the DVD into any dvd player here is what happens: It plays the French movie on BOTH buttons!! And the English movie: well I have to press skip foward on the remote to see it. In other words: It does not burn the second movie as a movie but as a simple chapter!

Is that normal and if so, how can I fix or go around that???
p.s. movies lenght: 3 mins.
theme used: reflection black. I did not try the dvd6 soft yet with any other theme.

Thank you

Unfortunately no, it is no an option due to the dvd player position in the kiosk.
But even then, that would not solve my problem for future use: Am I not supposed to be able to have many movies on the menu screen? Not only chapters but full movies?? And why is the preview different from what it burns? I tried puting the English button BEFORE the French button and burned a second dvd, Well now it burned two english movies.....The opposite of the first dvd!
It seems that when it burns, IDVD treats the first title like the main movie and all other movies like chapters of that same movie...
Any other toughts to help me out here?
Thank you!

It's hard to say without actually seeing the desktop while you are working.

Have you considered a One Step DVD from a QT Folder / Movie? It will loop the movie (Kiosk Mode) until you tell it to stop. But it doesn't afford the option of having a menu as a One Step.

DVDSP can do what you are looking for but then again it's significantly more expensive that iDVD or Toast.....

Another inexpensive option might be to use Toast instead of iDvd for this Kiosk DVD.

Can I use Idvd themes on dvd studio pro?

No way. (Unless the themes were completely rebuilt or restructured w/in DVDSP) and yes DVDSP is part of Final Cut Studio 2. But there are standalone (older) versions of DVDSP. I have DVDSP3 for example and FCP HD. Found both on ebay for very cheap compared to brand new (apple original CD's .... DVDSP3 was actually unopened!)
