Change clock to 12 hour format

In my iPhone settings I go to 'Date & Time' & at the there's a switch to turn '24-Hour Time' on or off. It's set as on but slightly greyed out. I can't alter the option to turn it off.

Can anyone help?
(It's a UK iPhone on O2 if that makes nay difference).

Do not adjust in settings, general, date & Time
Goto settings ----> International ----> Region Format and set that to United States

Currently, if you have the Region Format set to UK (Settings/international) then the only option is 24 hour format.

To have the 12hr/24hr format you will need to set the Region format to United States.

Try choosing a Time Zone ( as in enter London for example and use it as default). See if that helps.

London = what ever is closest to you.

If not then maybe O2 has the 24 hour clock set as their network clock so if you have it set automatically then it is picking that up.

you might need to call Apple or O2 support in the UK - on my US iPhone it works perfectly fine to set either 24 or 12 hour date format - alhough they havent released 1.1.2 in the US yet so maybe it has something to do with that

it is a glitch with the new 1.1.2 you need to set it to US timezone for it to use a 12 hour format... Apple made a boo boo, I am sure they will fix this shortly. If it is set to the UK only 24 hour format will adhere

As a temp fix, this will solve your problem and should not affect any function of the phone

Better than US, change your international setting to Hong Kong - now the clock works and all the numbers are formatted correctly as well ('£' sign as well)
