Change folder color in Finder sidebar

Hi! I was wondering whether there is a way to change the color of the folders that I keep in places on the sidebar. As far as I understand, they are just links to the real locations of the folders, but it would be nice if they could be customized. Thanks

while the special folders (pictures, music, utilities,desktop, etc.) have dual icons for finder window and side/toolbar, i am not sure such an option (or an easy option) is available for nonspecial objects (folders, applications, files, etc). though i would be curious to know it if possible.

do you not wish to change the color of the folder icon associated with the file itself too? just in the sidebar?
