What I like about the DVX100B: makes a great image ... if you know how to use it. Much crisper images than anything Canon offers.

What I don't like about it: typical hand-held camera iris control and poor zoom rocker placement. But all small hand-held cameras are like that. I guess I just like the way a real lens works.

Of all the small, SD, hand-held cameras I've had to shoot with, the DVX100B is the best overall.

My dear Padawan...

Before I ran out and bought a $5,000 camera I'd make sure the problems were your own.

I understand your frustrations... but I don't want them to be tripled when you fork the cash over and still have problems.

I'm not saying you will... but I do suggest once again that you perform routine maintenance on your machine and that you understand the basic operating procedures for FCP before dropping MORE money on an already failing system.

Good luck,

CaptM

No, not every GL2 users has problems. Only the ones that actually have problems report here. And a good 8 out of 10 of those are usually user error. But that isn't the point and doesn't have anything to do with your question; "Panasonic AG-DVX100b good or bad?"

From reading other posts from you, one would have to assume that you're either extremely hard-headed, mentally slow or just like to argue with anyone trying to help.

Of course you find only ISSUES when you search the forums for the GL2...who posts that they are having success? No one walks into a doctor's office and says, "My arms feel really good, and my lungs are clear." No, they go to the doctor's office saying "I am having trouble breathing, and I broke my arm."

If you search the forums, you see plenty of posts with people having issues with DVX cameras too. Especially the forum dedicated to that camera. True, Canon cameras are a bit more finicky, but they work fine. Some have issues, others do not.
