Anyone familiar with Pacifist?

On another board someone asked about getting some software from the install DVD that was corrupted on the HD, without having to do a complete reinstall.
Elsewhere someone asked about BootCamp, which was not installed on a purchased preloaded Mac.
I found this software, Pacifist, and was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it?
It supposedly has the ability to look into the packages and extract single files, much like the tools that are available in Windows for viewing and extracting data from cab files.
Just curious that's all.

nerowolfe,

Yes, that's what Pacifist does. It does it very well.

When you open a package with Pacifist, it will give you several options for what to do from there. You can browse the package (or a bundle of packages, for example on an Install disk) contents, and select any applications, files, etc. that are imbedded. Pacifist will install complete applications, or you can just take things piece-meal as you find them.

It's all pretty simple, once you start using Pacifist.
