Disk Read Error

I installed windows on boot camp. After it was done installing a message came up:
Disk Read Error, hit any key to restart.

It would not restart by hitting any key. I rebooted and ejected the Windows install disk. Leopard started up. I looked in my bootcamp drive and apparently
things were installed in it. I clicked into system preferences and choose to
reboot with windows. Again, after it rebooted i got the same disk read error message. Now upon rebooting it just goes back to this message; i can't even get back to leopard.

Did i need to install certain drivers before making this fatal error?
How can i get back to leopard?

I re installed windows Xp Sp2.It happens again.I have done it 4 times by now and all I get is Disk error.
Windows are not ''really installed'' in the system.Only thing I can do is format the partition and prepare for the installation then it restarts the computer to start the installation and "Press any Key to Boot From CD...... Disk Read Error".No matter what I do.This is A BUG THAT SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. WE WANT AN UPDATE NOW.

The problem was my XP SP2 CD.I got a new Windows Vista CD and it worked. No "Disk Read Error", nothing, it just installed.I don't know what the problem was but I found out that many people had that kind of problems installing Windows and their problem disappeared when they used another XP or Vista Disc.I still don't know what was wrong with my XP disc.

Put the Windows install CD in the drive

Boot up, holding down the Option key.

THree drive icons will appear, Macintosh, Windows, and one that looks like a CD. Select that one.

Windows will start the install process.

When it gets to the part where you have to select the drive to install on, select C: Bootcamp

The install program may whine about another OS already being installed there, ignore that.

Then you'll see a screen that wants you to select ormattng the partion and what file system to use.

* Select ANY OPTION ***EXCEPT*** "Leave the curent file system intact (no changes)" *

Then continue the install.

This should solve your issue. It was mentioned in the User Guide, plus a couple of threads on this board.
