74.5 GB FUJITSU MHT2080AH problems...

Hello to the Apple community, I've got a few problems here. After purchasing and installing leopard, I was interested in trying the Time Machine app. I partitioned my disk using Disk Utility and split off 35gb for Time Machine and left 35gb for the normal information that was already there. Doo dee doo dee doo... time machine is nice, cool stuff. I'm done, so I erase the time machine backups from the disk, tell Time Machine to stop doing backups to that partition.

I was missing Riven because of Leopard's lack of classic support, so I got the bright idea to install OS 10.3 on my unused partition. I shortened it down to 20gb and did all the partition re-mapping and whatnot in Disk Utility. I installed OS 10.3 on the now clear 20gb partition and restarted into it.

After switching back to the leopard partition and wanting to get rid of the Panther, I went into disk utility and attempted to delete, and re-partition the disk so that the only thing there was the good ol' Leopard portion that has always been there. Not only has the old Panther partition dissapeared, but the disk space has been sucked down from a total capacity of 74.5GB to 41.2GB.

I tried to "Verify Disk" in Disk Utility, but I get this message every time;
